Landscaping: Auburn Bay 004

This south east Calgary garden in Auburn Bay isn’t a large backyard, but we were able to get some good flow going between a number of items on this clients wish list. Because the backyard opens onto a public greenspace, it was necessary to balance privacy with views of the open park space. The generously sized fireplace provides some privacy from the neighboring property and gives a cozy outdoor entertaining space, even into the cool of the evenings.

Private seating spaces can be found under the upper deck and tucked into the sloping side garden. As this backyard gently pies wider to the back, this side area was a welcome bonus space to develop. Midway along the back where it can be enjoyed from a variety of angles a Basalt bubble rock water feature provides the pleasing sound of water and brings in birds to watch. A large dining patio and a spa tucked into the north side of the property complete this tidy well-appointed package.
