Landscaping: Lynx Ridge 001

This estate home in the NW Calgary community of Lynx Ridge was bare clay when we arrived to help envision the landscape. A swimming pool was desired along with a pool shed that could incorporate an outdoor kitchen and fireplace. Privacy was needed in some parts of the garden while in other parts taking advantage of the mountain view was a priority.

Stamped concrete surrounds the pool and forms the pool deck and patios. We constructed the pool shed of the same finishing materials as the home and it houses both the kitchen and intimate fireplace area as well as a change room and equipment room. Colorado spruce were used extensively for wind blockage and privacy and these were augmented by other hardy plant materials in generous beds to compliment the pool area. The frontyard was also landscaped to maximize curb appeal and welcome guest to the home.
