Concrete is a good option and comes in three general style of finishes. Broom Finish, Exposed Aggregate, and Stamped Concrete. Poured concrete for patios and walks has one detractor in that it will crack over time. Good installation practices will minimize this, and cracks are designed to occur along control joints put in during installation, but no warranty against cracking is provided.
Basic broom finish and exposed finish can be more economical than pavers.
Stamped concrete finishes provide a wide variety of stamps and colors for a unique project.
Patios and walks can be made in conjunction with stairs, landings and retaining walls for a solid continuous structure and look.
Can be built on brackets or piles in areas where deep settlement may occur.
Very flexible from a design stand point. Not restricted by pre-manufactured unit product sizes.
