Permanent Products: Dog Runs
Video Transcript
So people love their dogs and what we're finding in all of these products and all the planning and designs that we're doing is we're creating new spaces for your dogs or your pets. Traditionally dog runs or pet runs used to be that old pea gravel so you know the pee would kind of disappear through it, the smell would linger, cleaning up the dog poop, you'd scoop up half of the pea gravel with it every time you clean it up or be tucked away kind of down the side of a house to be forgotten about for five or ten years until you have to dig it all out and it's the worst smell you've ever known.
So what we're seeing is a lot more structured areas that are fenced off with maybe nice ornamental iron fences or chain link fences or we're using the side wood fence at the side of a house and just putting in some nice gates on either end to get the dog into or the pet into and of course we're doing a lot of the artificial grass which is super easy to clean up the dog poop because it's not an individual aggregate product on the bottom, it's one surface and of course the zeolite, the infill that we put in there, actually kills the ammonia smell in pet urine so you don't have that lingering smell.
And of course they come with some deodorizers as well if you're going to have a big event attach it to your hose spray it down it's going to smell great, but really you can shovel these things too so in the dead of winter if you have your dog run the plastic shovel and the artificial grass you can sweep up all the snow you can still have your dog out for some of the smaller dogs that that's required of that so you can keep it useful all year round, fence it all in and again these are all permanent products whether you're putting a nice beautiful ornamental iron gate in you know at the end of the side of a house, really nice you can have lock on there right you know or lots of people do the chain link because a lot of the new areas of course have chain link already installed, again a permanent product, but it's really going and upgrading the everyday usage of things.
So it's not always about the practicality for you know you and the kids and the family and the friends but it's about the practicality that your dog goes out two or three times a day and we want to get him into one area that is super easy to clean super easy to maintain and it doesn't impact the usage of the rest of the yard.
