At this estate home in the community of Lynx Ridge we were contracted to convert an existing yard into the backyard of the family’s dreams One of the major components of this project was a new composite deck which incorporated the spa, an outdoor kitchen, fireplace, and lots of room for lounging and entertaining. The outdoor kitchen is built into a privacy/ wind wall, and features granite counters and a large gas grill, adequate to cook for large gatherings.

The privacy/wind wall and fireplace are finished with cultured stone, and includes a natural gas fireplace insert, making this a very cozy and private space to enjoy at any time of day, but especially into the evenings as it begins to cool off

Topless glass rail was used for an unimpeded view of the rest of the grounds and the golf course beyond Adjacent to the deck is a putting green, a patio with a wood burning fire pit, and a greenhouse with a raised vegetable garden. The putting green is constructed of synthetic turf and is generously sized for this active young family. Practicing chipping and pitching from the adjacent natural turf areas enhances the function of this green and it is used almost daily in the summer months.

Concrete curbing separates the natural turf from the synthetic turf and is also used to border all the garden beds for lower maintenance and easier mowing.

The ashlar slate pattern on the curbing compliments the grand flagstone pavers used for patio space. In the center of the patio is a wood-burning firepit made from Belvedere blocks in a matching color.

Pollymerick sand in the paver joints ensures there will never be problems with weeds or ants in this patio.

The greenhouse was constructed adjacent to raised garden boxes for vegetables and herbs To enclose the space, we installed an ornamental metal fence to keep out unwanted critters. Irrigation throughout the property, including the vegetable boxes, ensures optimal plant health. Additional low maintenance features of this garden include organic wood chip mulch and hardy plant material for four seasons of interest. The final result is a stunning property sure serve this family well for years to come.
